The Sudan Integrity Summit 2025 was held in Kampala, Uganda, on 20–21 October 2025, organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The summit witnessed broad participation from civil society organizations, media professionals, and representatives of the Sudanese private sector, with the aim of advancing integrity and combating corruption in Sudan after decades of conflict and political fragmentation. A total of 120 participants attended the 2-day event, with around 23 experts and panelists who contributed to a total of 12 sessions.
The summit aimed to launch an inclusive national dialogue on corruption, accountability, and transparency within the context of conflict and reconstruction. Through twelve specialized panel discussions focused on practical solutions, the summit sought to achieve the following goals:
- Analyze the root causes and consequences of corruption in conflict environments.
- Explore practical governance reforms and accountability mechanisms resilient during crises.
- Highlight the role of transparency as a cornerstone for peacebuilding and economic recovery.
- Empower civil society, media, youth, and international partners to adopt values of integrity.
- Formulate actionable recommendations to guide Sudan’s path toward reconstruction and sustainable peace.
The summit revolved around three principal themes: accountability and governance reform, transparency and anti‑corruption measures, and peacebuilding and inclusive recovery. This report presents a comprehensive summary of discussions across sessions, as well as the general and actionable recommendations derived from them.
